St. Louis pop-punk powerhouse Wes Hoffman & Friends return with “Promises,” a nostalgic yet emotionally charged single released via SBÄM Records. It’s a track that captures the bittersweet end of a friendship or relationship—not angry, just heavy with the weight of shared memories and things left unsaid.
“Promises” feels instantly familiar, channeling that late-90s/early-2000s pop-punk pulse while carrying a more reflective tone. Tight guitars and driving drums build a foundation for a soaring chorus that sticks after one listen. Hoffman explained, “I wanted the song to have a darker tone while still giving it a strong melody for the chorus—a little melancholy, but still anthemic.”
Produced and mixed by Trevor Reilly (A Wilhelm Scream) at Anchor End Studios and mastered by Joe Reilly at Black & Blue Mastering, the song has a clean but punchy sound that amplifies its emotional core.
“Promises” bridges nostalgia and maturity—the sound of looking back without regret, and still singing along at full volume.
