Colorado Springs punks The Sleights set the tone for their upcoming Atari EP with “Earthworms,” a single that’s as raw as it is urgent. Out October 24, 2025, the EP launches with a track that blends grit, melody, and a stark emotional undercurrent.
The music video mirrors the song’s tension, chaotic, vulnerable, and shot through with finality. Frontman Luke Blanton has said it’s the kind of track they like to end sets with, because it leaves the room suspended in that closing breath.
Musically, “Earthworms” leans into stripped-down guitars and driving rhythms, letting the vocals carry both clarity and weight. The verses build tightly, while the chorus bursts open with hooks that refuse to let go. It’s a push-and-pull between control and release, and the band handles that tension with precision.
With Atari clocking in at four songs, this first glimpse suggests a short, sharp record full of intent. If “Earthworms” is the opening salvo, the EP promises to channel everything The Sleights have sharpened in recent years into something urgent, immediate, and impossible to ignore.
