The Red Bastards – “Bad Blood”

Welsh punk band The Red Bastards return with “Bad Blood,” a blunt and direct new single that sticks to the fundamentals of street-level punk rock. The band comes out of Mid Wales and has been active for several years in the UK underground scene, building a catalog of no-frills releases that lean on attitude rather than polish.

Released in March 2026, “Bad Blood” continues that approach. The track is loud, fast, and unapologetically straightforward. Crunchy guitars drive the song forward while the rhythm section keeps the pace tight and relentless. The vocals come through rough and confrontational, fitting the tone of a track that is clearly more about raw feeling than studio perfection.

What makes the single work is its simplicity. The band avoids overproduction and lets the energy carry the song. It lands somewhere between UK street punk and classic DIY punk rock, the kind of track that feels made to be played in small sweaty venues rather than polished playlists.

The Red Bastards have been steadily releasing material over the past few years, including singles like “Life’s a Trap” and “Good Old Days,” and “Bad Blood” fits naturally into that trajectory. It keeps their sound aggressive, honest, and firmly rooted in the punk tradition of saying things exactly as they are.
