Germany’s horror-punk veterans The Other return with Alienated, a full-length album released right on time for Halloween via Massacre Records. It’s a record that proves why they’ve been Europe’s leading horror-punk band for nearly two decades—dark, theatrical, and packed with anthems that are as melodic as they are menacing.
Recorded with Tim Schulte (Massendefekt, Callejon) and mixed by Arne Neurand (Guano Apes, Subway to Sally), the production gives Alienated both grit and atmosphere. Each track feels like a midnight movie—fast, sharp, and dripping with gothic energy. Songs like “I Need Blood” and “Die Human Die” hit with driving riffs and sinister hooks, while slower cuts carry eerie melodies that crawl under your skin.
Lyrically, the album leans into themes of isolation, estrangement, and the monstrous side of humanity—less cartoonish horror, more emotional darkness. It’s horror-punk that’s matured without losing its bite.
Alienated is the perfect seasonal release: cinematic, feral, and fun, built to blast while jack-o’-lanterns flicker. The Other remind us that horror-punk isn’t just for Halloween—it’s a full-time lifestyle, and few do it better.
