Canadian punks The Fomites and Terminal City Rats have released a new four-track split titled Split a Slice, now streaming everywhere. Each band contributes two songs, showcasing raw and urgent takes on their respective sounds.
Terminal City Rats, hailing from Vancouver, keep pushing their street-punk and oi blend with clenched-fist energy, while The Fomites deliver fast, no-frills punk from the Pacific Northwest. The Fomites’ opening track “Undependable” stands out with its driving tempo and unrelenting hooks—already picking up traction with early listeners.
Released independently, Split a Slice arrives alongside shows around Vancouver, including a May 2 release gig at The Waldorf, followed by an appearance at DEAD FEST. It’s a tight and gritty statement from two bands with a shared love for short blasts of punk mayhem.
