Scott Sellers, best known as the former frontman of early 2000s melodic punk staples Rufio, returns with a new solo album titled One and, and, and, and One and, and Three and, and…—out now via Double Helix Records.
This isn’t just a return to form—it’s a one-man statement. Sellers handled everything on the record himself: writing, vocals, guitar, bass, drums, engineering, mixing, and mastering. The title references syncopated rhythm patterns, but it also hints at the complex internal timing of a mind processing anxiety, depression, and self-doubt.
Songs like “Stuck in a Dream” and “Commit; Submit” blend driving rhythms and clean melodies with lyrics that wrestle with internal conflict and the ever-present voice of “The Judge”—a recurring figure representing self-criticism. It’s fast, melodic punk with real emotional weight, delivered with the precision and polish of a seasoned craftsman.
The album is available now on limited vinyl editions and streaming platforms worldwide. With One and…, Sellers steps firmly into his own lane—DIY to the core, yet expansive in scope and vision.
