NOFX – Pump Up the Valuum 25th Anniversary Zeotrope Vinyl Edition

To mark 25 years since the release of Pump Up the Valuum, NOFX has unveiled a limited zeotrope vinyl edition of the album—a first for the band. Originally released in 2000 via Epitaph Records, this was NOFX’s eighth full-length and their final studio album on the label before shifting to Fat Wreck Chords full-time. Known for its no-frills, straight-ahead punk approach, Pump Up the Valuum stripped back the ska and reggae flourishes of earlier records and delivered a focused, fast-paced LP packed with sarcasm, social commentary, and zero apologies.

This new anniversary pressing comes in a visually striking zoetrope format, with Side A pressed on blue vinyl and Side B on pink. When spun under a strobe light or filmed at the right frame rate, the disc creates an animated illusion—making it both a collectible and a trip. Preorders launched through NOFX’s official EU merch store and were quickly snapped up, underlining just how enduring this record remains among fans. With a release window set for late August, it’s a short run and likely won’t be repressed.

Pump Up the Valuum includes standout tracks like “Dinosaurs Will Die,” “Thank God It’s Monday,” and “And Now for Something Completely Similar.” The record remains a fan favorite for its melodic bite, tongue-in-cheek delivery, and tight, under-32-minute runtime. As anniversary editions go, this one doesn’t just celebrate the music—it adds a visual layer that makes revisiting it all the more engaging. A solid reminder that even after a quarter century, NOFX’s brand of punk still hits hard—and still sells out.
