Ignite – Where They Talk: 30th Anniversary Edition

Ignite’s debut “Where They Talk” EP originally dropped in 1994 as a raw, three‑song 7″ that introduced the Orange County melodic hardcore outfit to the scene. Now, 30 years later, Revelation Records has remastered and expanded the release into a full 12″ vinyl plus digital album titled Where They Talk: 30th Anniversary Edition, officially released June 13, 2025  .

Originally recorded at Moonsong Studios in Riverside and engineered by Bob Moon, the remaster by Will Borza (2024) enhances those classic tracks with clarity and punch  . The five‑song tracklist includes the original three—“Automatic,” “Where They Talk,” and “Turn”—alongside two bonus tracks (“Slow” and “Shade”) lifted from the Scarred for Life album  .

This is the first time these bonus tracks have been released digitally, and the first 12″ pressing since the original 1,000-copy run. The vinyl is available in limited color variants: turquoise (300 exclusive), cloudy white (600), and a retail-only blue-white mix (300)  .

Bassist Brett Rasmussen reflects, “This EP started off everything for us. It’s where our whole journey was set in motion, and to see it celebrated 30 years later is truly humbling”  . The original 1994 lineup featured Randy Johnson (vocals), Joe D. Foster (guitar), Brett, and Casey Jones on drums  .

For longtime fans and newer listeners alike, this reissue not only revitalizes a momentous record in Ignite’s early years but also bridges decades of influence in melodic punk/hardcore
