Hagfish – …Rocks Your Lame Ass (Vinyl Reissue)

Nearly 30 years after it first dropped, Hagfish’s cult-classic second album, …Rocks Your Lame Ass, is finally getting its vinyl debut. Originally released in 1995 on London Records and produced by Bill Stevenson and Stephen Egerton of Descendents/ALL, the album delivers a sharp blast of ’90s melodic punk—snappy, snotty, and relentlessly catchy.

This long-overdue reissue arrives July 1 via Porterhouse Records, pressed on limited opaque orange vinyl (500 copies only). The release also includes newly written liner notes and previously unreleased photos, offering fans and collectors a closer look at one of the era’s most underrated punk records.

With tracks like “Stamp,” “Happiness,” and “Disappointed,” …Rocks Your Lame Ass blends razor-tight hooks with bratty charm and powerhouse performances from the Blair brothers and frontman George Reagan III. The album captured Hagfish at their peak—a band equally comfortable sharing stages with NOFX and playing MTV rotation.

This reissue isn’t just nostalgia—it’s a reminder of Hagfish’s place in punk’s ’90s wave. Fast, funny, and flawlessly produced, this one holds up.
