Leeds-based trio Dinosaur Pile-Up have released their latest single, “Sick of Being Down,” via Mascot Records. The track is the third preview of their upcoming full-length album, I’ve Felt Better, set for release on August 22, 2025.
“Sick of Being Down” channels the band’s signature blend of punk grit and alternative rock melodicism—layering fuzzed-out guitars, soaring hooks, and emotionally raw vocals. Written in the aftermath of frontman Matt Bigland’s recent health challenges, the song captures a tone of vulnerability and perseverance. It’s both a cathartic release and a statement of forward momentum.
The single follows previous releases “My Way” and “’Bout to Lose It,” all of which signal a revitalized creative direction. With I’ve Felt Better, Dinosaur Pile-Up lean into their strengths: high-impact riffs, relatable urgency, and a sound that straddles the line between alternative rock and post-2000s punk.
