Heart Attack Man – “Limb From Limb / Mechanically Separated”

Cleveland trio Heart Attack Man return with a double single, “Limb From Limb” and “Mechanically Separated,” continuing the darker, more controlled direction they’ve been leaning into lately.

These two tracks are clearly meant to sit together. “Limb From Limb” builds tension slowly, keeping things tight and restrained before opening up just enough to let the melody land. There’s something uneasy running underneath it, a controlled pressure that never fully lets go.

“Mechanically Separated” does the opposite. It hits quicker, sharper, and more direct. The guitars come in harder, the pacing is more aggressive, and the vocal delivery feels less held back. Where the first track pulls inward, this one pushes out.

That contrast is what makes the release work. It feels intentional, not just two songs dropped at the same time. One sets the tone, the other breaks it open.

Sonically, this fits right into where the band have been heading since their recent material. Punk, emo, and heavier alt elements still blend together, but everything feels tighter and more focused. The hooks are still there, just wrapped in something a bit darker.

Production stays clean and punchy without smoothing out the edges. The band still sound like themselves, just more locked in.
