A decade into its existence, The Eradicator is still charging full-speed with its absurd, squash-obsessed mythology—and somehow, the music keeps getting sharper. You Can Hate The Eradicator, the new 8-track LP out September 12 via Stonewalled Records, is loud, fast, unfiltered punk that doesn’t take itself too seriously but plays like it does.
Inspired by the infamous Kids in the Hall sketch, The Eradicator began as a novelty act, but over time, it evolved into a fully-formed punk project with teeth. This latest record is proof of that transformation: a fierce 20-minute blitz of melodic hardcore and biting satire, driven by a brand-new lineup spanning Chicago, Gainesville, and Tampa.
Produced, mixed, and mastered by Ryan Boesch (Andrew W.K., Norma Jean, Whores.) at Candor Recording in Tampa, the sound is as tight and aggressive as ever—crunchy guitars, snotty vocals, and razor-sharp rhythm work. Lyrically, it’s a mix of tongue-in-cheek taunts, social frustrations, and existential anxiety—wrapped in pure punk defiance.
Standouts like “You Can Hate The Eradicator, But Don’t Hate The Game” and “Say No To War, Say No To Golf” keep the tongue firmly in cheek while the riffs punch hard. It’s satire with substance, a high-energy rush with a weirdly inspirational core. The squash racket might be a gimmick—but the music’s got real grip.
Vinyl collectors take note: 200 copies on black vinyl and 100 white vinyl editions (show exclusive) are being pressed.
Whether you come for the character or stay for the sound, You Can Hate The Eradicator delivers one of the most original, chaotic, and genuinely fun punk releases of the year.
