The Chugs – Eternal Brewtopia EP

Indiana’s beer-soaked punk trio The Chugs are back with Eternal Brewtopia, their third “six-pack” EP, out now via Wally Opus Records. Known for their unapologetic love of Hamm’s beer and surf-punk mayhem, The Chugs deliver six new tracks that land somewhere between reckless nostalgia and chaotic celebration.

Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Scott Wambach at The Room Recording Studio, Eternal Brewtopia is loud, fast, and full of fizz. Surf-tinged riffs collide with melodic hooks and shout-along choruses in songs that celebrate past excesses while still living in the moment. It’s punk with a party ethos—unpretentious, self-aware, and built for volume.

Following up their tongue-in-cheek single “Minnesota Sober,” this EP shows The Chugs doubling down on what they do best: short blasts of punk that don’t take themselves too seriously but still hit with purpose. There’s humor here, but it’s backed by tight songwriting and a deep love for the form.

If you’ve ever raised a can to forget the week or remembered the good times through bad decisions, Eternal Brewtopia is your soundtrack.
