Connecticut’s DIY pop-punk trio Scooped Up! is back with Don’t Wipe, a quick-hit single that blends skatepark energy with sharp hooks and classic irreverence. Released via Orifice Records, the track dropped July 11 alongside a self-produced video that marks a leap forward in the band’s visual presentation.
Don’t Wipe clocks in at just over two minutes, and it wastes none of it. The guitars are punchy, the pace relentless, and the vocal delivery lands with the kind of bratty charm that defines pop-punk at its best. It’s fast, funny, and unmistakably Scooped Up!—channeling early-2000s energy without feeling like cosplay.
The band handled everything in-house: writing, filming, editing, and even hauling a generator around town to get the right shots for the video. That DIY spirit runs through everything they do, and it’s what gives Don’t Wipe its edge. They may be armed with better gear these days, but they haven’t lost their basement-show grit.
Scooped Up! continues to evolve without losing sight of what made them in the first place—tight songs, loud hooks, and a sense of humor that doesn’t try too hard. Don’t Wipe proves they’ve still got plenty to say, and they’re saying it louder and sharper than ever.
