Orlando’s TV Generation return with their third album, Passafist—a sharp, melodic punk record that finds the band dialing in their voice with clarity and punch. Released July 1 via Big Tree Records, the album builds on the grit of 2022’s Cheap Times while leaning harder into hook-driven songwriting.
Led by vocalist/guitarist Eric Pabon, the band—rounded out by Jerry Henegar (guitar), Billy Ondrus (bass), and Jorge Gonzalez (drums)—delivers eleven tracks packed with urgency, heart, and sneaky pop sensibility. From the opening blast of “Handful of Nothing” to the shout-along defiance of “My Way” and “Beep Beep Richie,” the record rarely lets up.
But Passafist isn’t all fire. Tracks like “I’m With You” and “XOXO” add depth without losing speed, offering moments of connection and vulnerability. The title track, “Passafist,” ties it all together—a statement of identity and resistance, delivered with teeth.
Recorded at Goldentone Studios with Rob McGregor at the helm, the production is clean without losing edge—every shout, riff, and fill lands exactly where it should.
With Passafist, TV Generation stake out their space in modern punk: melodic, honest, and completely their own. It’s the sound of a band stepping up and meaning every word.
