Rhode Island’s Structure Sounds have dropped their latest single: a punk-rock reimagining of The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” released via Wiretap Records on June 27, 2025. Stripping the pop polish off the original, the band delivers a driving, guitar-forward version that retains the song’s hook while injecting it with raw punk energy.
This is Structure Sounds’ first release since joining the Wiretap Records roster, following their 2023 debut LP Light Up Your Sorrow. The cover highlights their knack for melody without sacrificing grit—balancing heavy instrumentation and urgent vocals with a surprising amount of swing.
Already hitting the stage alongside acts like A Wilhelm Scream and Brunt Of It, the band is clearly building momentum. “Blinding Lights” makes a strong case for their range—bridging pop and punk with confidence and edge.
