The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die have announced their fifth full-length album, Dreams of Being Dust, due out August 22 via Epitaph Records. The release follows 2021’s Illusory Walls and marks a stylistic shift toward a more aggressive, politically charged sound.
The announcement arrived alongside a new single, “Se Sufre Pero Se Goza,” which features Brendan Murphy of Counterparts. The song hints at the heavier direction of the upcoming record—less post-rock atmosphere, more direct and urgent hardcore and emo influences.
Dreams of Being Dust will include 11 tracks, some of which—like “Auguries of Guilt” and “Beware the Centrist”—have already surfaced. Produced by Chris Teti and Greg Thomas, and mastered by Will Putney, the album builds on the band’s evolution while confronting the anxiety and grief of the current moment head-on.
This will be the band’s first release since signing with Epitaph and represents a deliberate move into louder, more confrontational territory.
