Boston punk rockers Condition Baker have released their latest single, “Dethroned,” a sharp two-minute burst of gritty, melodic punk. It’s the first track off their upcoming EP, due out June 20, 2025.
Rooted in early 2000s punk traditions, Condition Baker channel the sounds of Dookie-era Green Day, Jawbreaker, and Descendents—balancing upbeat, hook-heavy riffs with raw emotional bite. Lyrically, “Dethroned” reflects on the rush and regret of growing up in that era, filtered through distorted guitars and rapid-fire drums.
The band has been steadily building buzz with previous tracks like “Sweet Nothings” and “How It Goes,” and this new single continues that momentum. The release appears to be self-published, available now on all major streaming platforms.
“Dethroned” is a tight, no-frills punk anthem—fast, honest, and heavy on nostalgia, yet firmly grounded in the now.
