Wild Spark – Orwellian Times EP

Miami punk band Wild Spark confront surveillance, control, and political decay on their new release, Orwellian Times, out now via Spanish Moss Records. The four-track EP delivers tightly wound punk energy with clear, pointed social critique.

Featuring songs like “Pandora’s Box,” “Nut-A-King,” “Talk 2 Much,” and “Dystopia Now,” the EP leans into fast tempos, raw guitar tones, and direct lyrical messaging. It’s a concise yet impactful statement, positioning the band as a defiant new voice in politically engaged punk.

Produced by Ignacio Giménez-Cajtak—who also handles vocals, guitar, and bass—the EP includes drumming by Adolfo Salgueiro (Fuakata!) and guest trumpet from Sofia Alves Da Silva, adding sharp accents to the mix.

Orwellian Times is a fierce and urgent addition to Miami’s underground punk landscape, pushing back against apathy with stripped-down resistance.
