Canadian hardcore band Invisible Hand have released their debut self-titled EP via Barely There Records on June 13, 2025. Hailing from St. John’s, Newfoundland, the band delivers a sharp, concise four-track effort rooted in fast, aggressive hardcore with clear nods to early ’80s punk and contemporary DIY scenes.
The EP was recorded by bassist/vocalist Liam Ryan and mixed and mastered by Jacob Cherwick at Halfcase Studio. Accompanied by cover art from illustrator Karim Newble, the record balances raw intensity with purposeful production.
With themes focused on systemic failure, political disillusionment, and socio-economic frustration, Invisible Hand pulls no punches. Each track is delivered with urgency and clarity, staying under the two-minute mark without sacrificing substance.
Invisible Hand are currently supporting the release with local performances and are reportedly working on a follow-up EP. The band’s approach—self-recorded, fast-paced, and thematically pointed—solidifies their place in Canada’s growing circle of uncompromising new hardcore acts.
