Ohio-based punk duo Beast Killer have released a new single titled “It Cycles,” further developing their aggressive fusion of punk, noise rock, hardcore, and post-hardcore. The band, consisting of Chris Wright (vocals/guitar) and Kris Monroe (drums), formed in 2021 and has steadily built a reputation for raw, uncompromising sound shaped by DIY production and a confrontational live presence.
Recorded and mixed at Wright’s home studio under the Rubber Lizard Records banner, “It Cycles” captures the duo’s stripped-down intensity with sharp guitar distortion, propulsive drumming, and stark lyrical themes. The track follows a series of independent releases including “Exploder,” “Knowledge,” and “Sparks (Revisited),” reinforcing their position in the Midwest’s underground punk and noise scenes.
Lyrically, the song explores cycles of personal and emotional struggle, consistent with the band’s broader thematic focus on internal conflict and existential tension. Beast Killer continue to build momentum through steady output and a hands-on approach to recording, distributing, and promoting their music.
