Leipzig’s skate-punk upstarts Skeetch just released their third single this year, “Sunny Side”, complete with a punchy new music video premiering on Dying Scene. The track teeters between energetic riffs and heartfelt lyrics—described by the band as a “not‑so‑cheesy love song,” it’s a celebration of finding joy when life’s less-than-perfect. Since forming in 2021, Skeetch have churned out three EPs, toured across Europe (hitting France, Croatia, and beyond), and now gear up for their debut LP, Sunny Side of Shitty Town, dropping August 22, 2025 on Punkerton Records.
With growing momentum and solid songwriting chops, I’d put Skeetch up there as not just one of Germany’s top skate-punk bands—even among Europe’s best right now.
