84 Days – Mockingbird Brains

Pennywise bassist Randy Bradbury steps into the spotlight with 84 Days, his new side project—and their debut single “Mockingbird Brains” is a sharp, melodic statement of intent. Out now via Double Helix Records, the track teases their upcoming self-titled album due November 7, with distribution through SBÄM (EU) and Pee Records (AUS/NZ/JPN).

But 84 Days isn’t just a solo experiment. It’s a full-fledged, all-star collaboration: Adrian Young (No Doubt) handles drums, Warren Fitzgerald (The Vandals) lends his signature guitar work, and Grammy-winning producer Cameron Webb not only produced the record but contributed as a multi-instrumentalist. For live shows, Eric Sandin (NOFX) will take over on drums, making this one of the most stacked punk supergroups in recent memory.

“Mockingbird Brains” captures everything this lineup promises—tight melodies, lyrical bite, and an undercurrent of raw, reflective energy. It’s punk with depth, blending classic California urgency with crisp modern production. The accompanying video pairs the song’s message with a stylized, fast-cut visual that reflects the chaos and clarity of the track’s themes.

For Bradbury, 84 Days is more than a side note—it’s a personal project years in the making. What began as a solo writing effort has evolved into a band with real momentum and identity. And if “Mockingbird Brains” is the introduction, the full album promises even more unexpected turns from a veteran who clearly isn’t done taking creative risks.
