Trust Records Reissues 7 Seconds’ New Wind + Unveils Remixed Companion Album Change In My Head
Trust Records has announced a landmark reissue of 7 Seconds’ pivotal 1986 album New Wind—restored in its original form, and now joined by a completely new companion album, Change In My Head.
Change In My Head isn’t just bonus material. It’s a full alternate take on New Wind, remixed in its entirety by none other than Ian MacKaye (Minor Threat, Fugazi) and engineered by Don Zientara at the legendary Inner Ear Studios. The album also includes previously unreleased tracks—“Change In My Head” and “Compro”—originally recorded during the same 1985 DC sessions.
This isn’t just a reissue. It’s a time capsule, a reimagination, and a love letter to a band navigating the shift from hardcore fury to melodic evolution—all without losing the urgency and soul that made 7 Seconds a cornerstone of the scene.
New Wind and Change In My Head are available now via Trust Records. Essential listening for old heads and new punks alike.
